Originally thought up in 2007, the Harb40 Passion Competition has grown to be one of the top competitions for animation and machinima artists. Started in conjuction with TMO, The Movies Online (the main website for The Movies by Lionhead Studios), as a fun contest with no real prizes other than the winners having their films showcased for a couple weeks on the front page of TMO, the competition moved to the TMOA (The Movies On Air) websites in 2009.

Today, the competition is still considered fun but has a serious flair to it. Prizes have been added that include 2D and 3D animation programs, video editing software and more. The competition is open to all forms of machinima, animation and live action filming. Entries have included films made with iClone, Moviestorm, The Movies, Xtranormal, The Sims and more. We have also had 2 live action films submitted.

2013 will also see the addition of a short story writing category.  Prizes will include professional writing software and possibly more.
